stumbling

So after a bit of reading I decided to install the firefox tool bar 'stumble upon'. Uhmazing. Its like the coolest bits of the Internet I've never heard about have been put right at my ADD finger tips. In the first couple days of this I happen to stumble upon something that I would like to share with others (or no one, as i don't know who reads this): de-noted. I guess I've never encountered such art in my travels. Does give me a good idea for when I'm bored on trips though.

Fun in the sun

So last weekend I took surfing lessons. Hadn't ever been and figured it would be a nice time to learn. My friend came and hung out on the beach while I surfed and afterward we headed to the 3rd st promenade to get some lunch and generally just wander around and have fun.

We're walking along and stumble through an 'elect Barack Obama' section of people and here is how things went:
[cute liberal chick]: Do you have a minute to talk about how we can elect Barack Obama?
[Me]: Oh, I'm sorry, (with a finger I draw a heart on my chest) I heart Sarah Palin, she's cute.
[cute liberal chick]: awww... I'm sorry...ok, well have a nice day.

No real logic to talk me out of that, Sarah you fox.

Weekend fun

Was in Santa Barbara again this weekend to hang out with Angela. Sang karaoke for the first time, which was a blast, and got a couple of photos in.

Mobile

Well, I'm super excited. I was able to set up mobile blogging, woot woot! One of the reasons I hadn't ever done much blogging it's another thing to do at home after work. I seem to encounter lots of good stuff during the course of my days/nights so I'm pretty excited to be able to post them while driving or heart surgery.

First...

So I just got back from NYC and wanted to post a couple of photos. I'm not a diary person so I hope to keep this blogging thing to a moderate to inane pace.

Looking towards Manhattan across the Brooklyn bridge.

Kingda Ka on the left at 456ft tall (128mph) and El Toro on the right with one of the steepest wooden drops.
Hieroglyphics on Cleopatra's needle in Central Park. Central Park was probably one of my favoritest things about NYC.
